Terms & Service Policy

These terms apply to this website and to services provided by StrataWing Aerial LLC ("StrataWing Aerial," "we," "us"). By requesting or accepting a service, you ("the customer") agree to them. A written quote or job confirmation from us may add terms for a specific job; if it conflicts with these terms, the quote or confirmation controls for that job.

Requests and scheduling

• Submitting a request through this website, by phone, text or email does not create a booking or a charge.
• A mission is scheduled only after we review the request and confirm it with you. Arrival times and dates are estimates and may change because of weather, travel, airspace or other jobs.
• Services marked "Coming Soon" are not currently offered. A request for one is an expression of interest only.

Mission acceptance

We decide whether to accept each mission. We may decline, postpone, stop or end any mission, before or during the flight, if we believe it cannot be done safely or lawfully, including because of weather, airspace, property access, permission, equipment condition, or risk to people, animals or property. The remote pilot in command has final authority over every flight.

Thermal deer recovery pricing

A $250 dispatch/search fee is required before deployment. The standard recovery fee is $100.

The recovery fee may be reduced or waived at StrataWing Aerial LLC's discretion based on the circumstances and outcome of the mission. Any additional searches or return visits will be discussed with the customer and priced separately before deployment.

Recovery is not guaranteed.

Extended travel beyond the normal service area may require an additional fee, always disclosed before dispatch. Results depend on terrain, vegetation, weather, temperature, access, time since the shot and animal movement.

Post-shot recovery, not hunting

• Deer recovery is post-shot recovery assistance only, for a deer that has already been legally shot. The aircraft is never used to hunt, pursue, drive, herd or locate live game for the purpose of taking it, or to guide a hunter to a live deer so it can be shot.
• The customer is responsible for complying with all Ohio hunting laws and regulations, including tagging and game-check requirements.
• We may decline or end a search if we believe continuing it would not comply with these limits or with the law.

Other service fees

Standard residential roof and property imaging starts at $250. Larger, complex, multi-structure or commercial properties are quoted individually. Construction, agricultural, herd census and other services are quoted individually. The price, scope and deliverables for those jobs are confirmed in writing before the mission.

Payment timing

• Deer recovery: the dispatch/search fee is paid before deployment. The recovery fee is normally due at the end of the mission and may be reduced or waived at StrataWing Aerial LLC's discretion.
• Other services: payment is due as stated on the quote or job confirmation.
• Accepted payment methods are confirmed when we accept the job. This website does not currently take online payments.

Cancellations and interrupted missions

• You may cancel a request at no charge at any time before we accept it.
• If you cancel before we depart for the mission, any fee you have paid for it is refunded in full.
• Once dispatch has begun, the dispatch/search fee is generally nonrefundable, subject to applicable law and any written job-specific agreement.
• If we cancel a mission before it starts, we will offer to reschedule it or give you a full refund.
• If an active mission must stop because of weather, safety, equipment or access restrictions, we will assess charges fairly based on the work and travel performed.
• Other services: cancellation terms are stated on the quote or job confirmation.

Return visits and additional searches

Any return visit or additional search is discussed with you separately and priced before deployment.

Weather and flight restrictions

Flights are conducted under FAA rules for small unmanned aircraft (14 CFR Part 107) and any other law that applies. Wind, rain, snow, fog, low visibility, temperature, controlled or restricted airspace, temporary flight restrictions, nearby people, and obstacles such as trees and power lines can delay, limit or prevent a flight. We are not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by these conditions.

Landowner permission and access

• The customer is responsible for having permission from the owner or person in control of every property where we are asked to search, fly from or enter, including any adjoining property a deer may have crossed.
• The customer must tell us accurately about access, permission and any known hazards before the mission.
• We may ask you to confirm permission before we deploy, and we will not enter property without it.

Limits of aerial and thermal imagery

• Imagery shows what was visible to the camera at the time of the flight. Thermal sensors detect surface heat differences and can be limited by canopy, vegetation, terrain, weather, temperature and time of day.
• Roof, property, construction, solar and agricultural services provide imagery and visible observations only. They are not licensed engineering or structural reports, home inspections, code-compliance determinations, insurance adjustments, land surveys or agronomic diagnoses. Consult a qualified professional before relying on imagery for those decisions.
• We do not guarantee that imagery will show any particular condition, defect, animal or object.

Customer deliverables

• Deliverables, file formats, delivery method and timing are agreed for each job, usually as a digital download link or email.
• Deer recovery does not automatically include video, photos or a written report.
• We do not promise to store imagery or deliverables indefinitely. Please download and keep your own copies.

Imagery ownership and use

• StrataWing Aerial retains copyright in its imagery.
• After payment, the customer receives broad, nonexclusive rights to use and share the delivered imagery for their own personal or legitimate business purposes, including sharing it with insurers, contractors, lenders, buyers and professional advisors.
• Resale or standalone commercial licensing of the imagery to unrelated third parties requires our written permission.
• We will not publish identifiable imagery of a customer's property for marketing without the customer's permission.

Information on this website is general and may change. Prices and service availability are confirmed when we accept a job.

Ohio law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version posted when we accept your job applies to that job. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
